The Idea

Basic idea was to create something like good old “Battle City” game – with simple tanks, enemies and environment. And really – I was almost there.

I already create all things for it, even map builder:

But already in that small game I inserted a really nice physics engine – Box2D – and I wanted to use all it’s features as much as I can. To do this I needed bigger maps, with possibility to zoom in / out of camera. And this was point where I struggled (again – you know how it’s going on development, right?:)). I was thinking of how I need to resolve this situation – and then decided to go into frameworks. After some investigations I stopped on LibGDX – just because it have all required for me features. I decided that this will be not tanks, but robots, ordered some designs of robots on freelance (want to help me with designs? pls contact me here), and started working.
From this point game was totally changed. Connected maps, larger then before, new physics features, particles, and much more.
