First week of Free Android Game release – still 1+ installs :)

Continue story of my RoboQuads: War Robots game journey 🙂 First of all – new logo presentation:

Share your thoughts about it – it’s always pleasure to read them, especially – negative one (seriously).

Android game developing 2 years – and now have 1+ installs on Google Play after one week of it’s release. What I learned about it:

Develop game – is not always about Developing 😉

Actually I knew this thing (have years of experience in develop other software and promote it), but thought that on Google Play with Free game it will be easier. No, it’s harder 🙂

You can make a good game, it can be a really good – but it will be somewhere at the bottom of a list – if it will be there at all. No matter – how game is good – you will be out. I’m not crying – I understand this, really, just thought that there will be some 10-100 installs from it, not one.

Want some feedback? You will not have it!

After posting game links to some facebook and other resources – I have a lot of comments. Let’s try to sort them out:

  1. “Do you really want someone to play it? Are you joking?” – cool, yeah? Maybe game is not so good – and I will be glad to hear about this, as more critics I get – as better I can be. But those comments about nothing can’t help in any way.
  2. “Game looks good” – thanks 😉
  3. “Video s..k”, “Icon s..k”, “Site s..k” – ok, this is good, will order video promo in some professional, re-developed icon according to recommends, and changed site design accordingly – really guys, thank you all for this!

But main thing – no one actually played a game! I had 2 active installs before posting (me and my girlfriend) – and 3 after (I guess it was download from man who I asked to do promo video for it). So actually 0 (zero!) feedback about a game 😉

Zero investments to promote free android game

Exactly, zero (0) $ of investments. I just wanted to look at “naked” play store – how it work, what is a value there for products. For now – as I see – I need to work harder on social media. But how exactly – this is a question) If you have some comments – don’t hesitate to write them bellow.

Want back to my code 😉

No, really – I fully understand why it’s going in this way. And for sure – I understand that game promotion is a hard work, and people who take money for this – they not just click “share” – and that’s all. This is a big work – and I will try to do my best on it. Will publish more updates later with results 😉

Share your thoughts about this bellow – just want to know: is this me, or everybody have same experiences.
